What’s in a shoe? Maybe, it was initially designed to defend someone’s feet but shoes have started out its handy purpose to its current grand heights. Oftentimes, the bigger, the better. Heels are certainly not just ladies shoes that women simply put on. It’s a statement, symbolic of authority, social stature, femininity, empowerment and joy.

Like practices and culture, this obsession with high heels gets given to thru generations and how this happens is simply a girl growing up looking at her mother or her favorite actress flaunt high heels as if they were jewelry. The love for shoes is and obtained taste and it is a consensual decision that women make to engage in educating the youth.
Women choose to put them on for a lot of reasons and comfort may not even be on the list. Some theorize that heels were invented to punish those who wear them and also this theory has a valid point.

Many accidents and injuries have been completely brought on by these shiny elegant things that women love a lot. Does that deter a lady from putting them on? Most certainly not. Instead you could hear her say that wearing high heels involves practice and true skill; much like how guns which are made to protect can kill, heels which were made to cause you to feel like the true goddess that you are can hurt if you’re not careful. Is this fact why they are also called “killer shoes”? However, it was also said that heels once had very practical purpose: Egyptian butchers used it to keep their feet off the gore at work, horse riders worn it to grip their stirrups better. It simply evolved, that’s all.

For smart women, it’s only a matter of choosing wisely. You will find high heel shoes that offer more comfort than others; those with chunkier heels often offer more stability. It is also sensible to know your limits, a 5-inch pair of stilettos may look breathtaking in the rack but let’s be honest not many are created to withstand the challenges of walking around in those sexy yet very dangerous heels.
